As I mentioned before, I've been playing a lot of D&D lately, specifically Raveloft Campaigns. There are two specifically, one based around Bloody Jack and the other was created by a friend. ANYWAY! I have a tendency to doodle when I roleplay and most of the time I draw my characters or my party members. So yeah. These are the two characters I play. Aria, a half-Vistani (gypsy) Bard currently unraveling the insideous plots of Blood Jack in the gloomy town of Paradon, which is shrouded in the mists of Raveloft; and Allielle, the Hatheran Witch (mostly druid mind you) who has precariously found herself bound to the domains of Ravenloft and can draw on the dark powers to aid her (despite her being a neutral/good character).
Aria was on a "diplomatic" mission to the region of Darkon to help negotiate a "business deal" for the Baron of Port Lassune (*coughwhoisreallyadarklordofravenloftcoug h*). She, her horse Galax, and her companion/body guard Kenton, were traveling to said region via ferry, when the mists enveloped it the barge and transported them to a back alley way in the middle of a strange city much resembling London (Think the movie "From Hell"). The story goes from there. Aria and Kenton are trying to solve the riddles and capture Bloody Jack before he has a chance to murder another 6 people and fullfill the grim faerytale that plagues the poor city of Paradon. 3 down.....and only 3 more to go..... Allielle, a wise and mysterious Hatheran Witch has found herself in a band of colourful characters as she has been summoned to aid Count Strahd Von Zarvich in cleansing a town that has fallen to a great evil. Accompanied by the stoic and rather brash Paladin, a shifty and rather troublesome Rogue, a gun-ho kill'em-all Sorceress, and a quiet and deadly Archer; the party ventures out to investigate a series of multiple murders in which young women are being brutally murdered and ripped apart, many of their limbs missing from the crime scenes. After some divination and scouting, our heros come to realize the doctor of the city, who's children have recently died, has brought both of them back to life as constructs. The son has been murdering women and taking their body parts to help keep his sister alive because for some reason the doctor can't keep her from falling apart despite all his efforts to make her as strong as her brother. The party finds out that the only reason the son survived and became so powerful was because his will to live was almost supernatural......unfortunately his sister's was not. After "defeating" the construct son with a violent explosion of lightning that splayed his body across the room in sizzling little bits, the Rogue mercilessly killed the doctor and the daughter and the hospital burnt to the ground. The Rogue has never been the same since that night and it has seemed to have strange effects on him ever since. (For those of you who understand any of the dynamics of Ravenloft, he failed dark powers checks and now constantly feels fever-ish and sweats all the time, as well as when you look into his eyes you can see flames where his pupils should be. On the up side he now has dark vision and gained +2 to his Dexterity) Once ridding the city of the murderer, the heroes set back on our ship to bring back the good news and collect our pay from the count, only to be held up a strangely seedy port town. The ship had not only sprung a leak, but one of the rudders had been damaged. When the Paladin stepped out on the dock, he was stricken by the sheer velocity of evil that radiated from this town. Slaves in masses were being auctioned off to the highest bidder, gambling, whoring, the evil that money spreads was everywhere. One of the strangest things was the entire city was being policed by priests, who managed to keep the peace without any violence despite the villains and cutthroats that roamed the area. The party eventually determined they were not only using magic complusion to confuse the mind and maintain power over the people, but they were also undead zombies being controlled by the high priest who ruled over the town. The city was a sink hole of evil and was slowly being fed on by the demons who had been imprisoned here. But as the our heroes soon unraveled the plot, they defeated the powerful demons who were trying to slide the city from the plane of Ravenloft into the abyss to free themselves from their imprisonment and managed to anchor the city back to Ravenloft through the combined efforts of the Paladin who used the holy symbol to banish the evil and darkness that pulled the city down and Allielle who has such strong ties to Ravenloft that she was able to anchor the city back to it's original plane of existance... Yep. They're soooo much fun to play. And because my fiance plays the Paladin, we've come up with really fun combos with our spells...like....during the battle in the temple where we killed the demons, their were a ton of undead humanoids that the demons once controlled to help police their town, so I conjured water and splashed it against the ceiling, causing it to rain down on everyone.....and the my fiance's Paladin blessed the water as it fell and made it into holy water that rained down on all the undead and melted them into nothingness XD It was way cool! So yes. Aria uses a magical violin to cast and amplify lot of her bard spells....and Allielle has an enchanted mask that amplifies her spells, allows her to see in dim light, and makes her immuse to visual fear and horror effects. So yeah. That gives you an idea of just how completely nerdy I am. Whoo me! Enjoy the art! Characters and Art belong to *laudanumvisions |

I can kill 'cause in god I trust, yeah
I'm really glad I got back into it. It's been a healthier replacement for World of Warcraft and Guild Wars (especially since my fiance gets addicted to video games before you can even say l33t). It's more social and we see our friends more often which is nice. That and my fiance doesn't ignore me for hours at a time as he stares at a computer screen lol.
